Sending Hope with the Little Red Mailbox

Theres a little magic happening at the Glenmere Beach Access in Kill Devil Hills. Hope.The Little Red Mailbox, perched at the beach access to the left of the gazebo, is a place to make a wish, send a prayer, write a love note, share a secret or make your dreams come true. The unmistakable mailbox, has a sign posted to Leave a note of hope.Theres no better place to contemplate your wishes then on the beautiful, peaceful beaches of the Outer Banks. Take in a breath of fresh air, clear your mind and then let your deepest wishes and desires come to you. Write it down and send your wishes in Little Red Mailbox, a tradition that locals and visitors from all over the world have come to know and love. This Little Red Mailbox shines a ray of hope to everyone who visits.The Little Red Mailbox was founded by Eddie & Sue Goodrich, locals of the Outer Banks, who maintain a journal of entries for the mailbox.  Sue came up with the concept after losing her mother.
