The First Flight Farmers Market is held every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Aviation Park in Kill Devil Hills. This market thrives with local participants from the Outer Banks small business community. Vendors offer a wide variety of choices from fresh produce and sweet and savory treats to jewelry, paintings, woodwork, photography, candles, and bath and body items. Food trucks and live music add to the fun and festivities. Traveling with kids? Aviation Park features a skate park and playground for family to enjoy during your visit. Parking is available onsite at Aviation Park, 103 Veterans Drive in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. Additional parking is available across the street at First Flight High School.

Dowdy Park hosts its Farmers Market every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Located at 3005 S. Croatan Highway at Bonnett Street in Nags Head, North Carolina this market features local artisans, farm stands, fresh produce, Outer Banks crafts, honey, delicious baked goods, and snacks and drinks to enjoy while you shop. Dowdy park features a playground and sports courts to keep the whole family entertained during your visit. Limited parking is available onsite. Additional parking is available next door at Nags Head Elementary School or across the street at the Outer Banks Family YMCA.
Nearby attractions: Just one mile south of Dowdy park is Jockey’s Ridge State Park, home to the tallest active sand dune on the east coast! Climb the dune and fly a kite or visit the newly updated visitor center and enjoy the boardwalk and trails at the park while you are in the area. After your visit, stop by the Bonnett Street beach access located just 0.2 miles east of Dowdy Park for a quick swim or to watch local surfers ride the waves. This lifeguarded public beach features a bath house, beach volleyball court, and free parking.
