ESA Easterns Surfing Competition 2023

We talk a lot about the advantages of visiting the Outer Banks in the Fall. Heat and humidity are dropping, traffic is easing, and crowds are waning. But what tends to increase? Waves! Fall waves are a surfer's dream and in September, The Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) hosts the largest amateur surfing event of the year right here on the Outer Banks.

This week-long event is held at Jennette's Pier in Nags Head, NC from September 17-23, 2023 and is free and open to the public. Stop by and watch the best of the best – the action will not disappoint! Adult Shortboard, Adult Longboard & Open Longboard & Open Shortboard are scheduled for Sept 17-19. All Youth Divisions & Open Longboard & Open Shortboard are Sept 18-22 (schedules may change based on weather and ocean conditions). With so many age groups and board divisions, it will be worth stopping by to watch the best of the best take to the water! So grab your gear and get ready to enjoy watching these talented surfers shred!
